Foxhole is seeking a motivated Infrastructure Administrator to support day-to-day IT infrastructure operations on a Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity program. This role is ideal for individuals early in their IT careers who are eager to gain hands-on experience in enterprise environments. The selected candidate will assist with system administration tasks, routine maintenance, and infrastructure support under the guidance of senior team members.

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms
• Perform routine system monitoring and checks to ensure optimal performance and uptime
• Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Support user account and access management in alignment with security policies

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms

• Apply system patches and updates based on documented procedures and guidance
• Maintain accurate documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and knowledge base articles
• Assist in tracking IT assets, hardware inventory, and software licenses
• Work collaboratively with infrastructure, help desk, and network teams to address service requests and incidents
• Escalate complex issues to senior staff while maintaining task ownership through resolution
• Follow established security protocols, including password policies and system hardening guidelines
• Support audits, compliance activities, and vulnerability remediation efforts as directed
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to expand technical skillsets
• Contribute to automation initiatives and begin learning basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)

• 4+ years of experience in IT system administration, technical support, or related fields (internships, academic, or volunteer experience welcomed)
• Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret
• Familiarity with Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems
• Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Foundational knowledge of networking (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Exposure to infrastructure monitoring and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
