Location: Tampa, Florida (MacDill AFB)

Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI

Start: Based on Contract Award

Foxhole Technology is seeking an experienced Special Operations Forces (SOF) Joint Opertions Readiness expert to support a critical Government program.  The ideal candidate will bring robust SOF experience, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, high-security setting.

Job Description

  • Provide Senior Leader Integration
  • Preparing or deliver products for O-5 through GO/FO decision-makers
  • Coordinate training or readiness efforts across TSOCs, SOF Components, CCMD Staff, Services, and Interagency partners
  • Joint Readiness & Assessment Functions
  • Application of UJTL / JMETL / Joint doctrine
  • Development of After-Action Reports (AARs), Readiness assessments, and Training improvement recommendations
  • Hands-on use of JTS, JTT, and DRRS
  • Operational Design and Crisis Response
  • Working knowledge of Operational Design
  • Familiarity with SOF crisis response operations

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years SOF experience
  • Former E-7+ / CW2+ / O-3+
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years planning & executing joint exercises using the Joint Training System (JTS)
  • Operational working knowledge of warfighting functions and SOF core activities within a Joint SOF HQ construct
  • Management of full-spectrum readiness events aligned to CJCSM 3500.03-series
  • 2+ years Joint operations and/or operational-level SOF planning
  • Led or co-led development of realistic, policy-informed SOF training/exercise scenarios
  • Integrated joint, interagency, and multinational training audiences
  • Ensured SOF mission requirements are represented in training objectives, events, and assessments
  • Minimum 2 years Strategic Command-Level Experience in one of the following within the last 8 years: USSOCOM, TSOC, Service HQ, Joint Staff, OSW, 3–4 Star HQ in a role such as:  C, Command cadre,  Senior enlisted leader / key developmental billet, or Primary staff planner or training lead

 Any combination of the below may demonstrate the above eligibility.

  • Joint / SOF HQ Training, Plans, or Readiness Staff
  • POSITIONS HELD OR HELD WITHIN:
  • J7 / J37 Joint Training Planner or Training NCO
  • J3 / J35 Plans or Future Operations
  • TSOC J3/J7 training & exercise staff
  • SOCOM or Service SOF Component HQ training/plans
  • CCMD or Joint Task Force (JTF) exercise planner
  • Readiness / assessments / AAR analyst

SOF OPERATIONAL UNITS WITH TRAINING DESIGN RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Company / Troop / Detachment Operations NCO or Assistant S3
  • Battalion / Squadron Plans Officer / Training Officer
  • Group / Regiment Schools / Training NCO
  • Task Force Assistant Plans / Training lead  
  • SMU / NMF element training or plans staff
